Position Summary: As the Information Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing AIANTA’s information systems, with a focus on the database, volunteer management, and event systems.

Job Description: The Information Specialist at AIANTA is tasked with the comprehensive management and enhancement of AIANTA’s information systems, with a primary focus on the database, volunteer management, and event systems. The role involves daily design, supervision, and maintenance of AIANTA’s proprietary agency database, encompassing tasks such as adding new contacts and members, researching data changes, and ensuring accurate data entry. As the gatekeeper for all databases, the Information Specialist grants access rights to association team members and collaborates with staff to develop standardized reporting. The position extends to the coordination of databases, including NativeAmerica.travel and Constant Contact, to facilitate the regular sharing of information. The Information Specialist plays a pivotal role in producing routine tribal tourism reports, highlighting the number of tribes with tourism assets, Native-owned tourism businesses, and providing breakdowns by tribal affiliation, NAICS code, and type. Additionally, the role contributes to monthly agency communications by offering information on new members, AIANTA programs, and other relevant updates. The position is responsible for tracking memberships, payments, and renewals. Collaboration with other departments to compile reports for outreach or special promotions is an integral part of the role, reflecting the position’s dynamic and multifaceted responsibilities. The Information Specialist may be required to perform other tasks as assigned by the Tribal Relations and Outreach Manager or AIANTA’s leadership.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position should have an associate degree in business or computers, information, or data science from an accredited college, along with a minimum of one year of practical experience in data entry and/or data management. Proficiency in computer operations and a comprehensive understanding of various business software, including the Windows environment, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database software systems, are essential. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge of records management and database applications, coupled with the ability to research data sources for accuracy. Prior experience with a Native American tribal organization, the travel and tourism industry, or not-for-profit organizations is preferred. Strong project management skills, outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and proficiency in research and analysis using web-based and published materials are crucial. The candidate should establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds, including co-workers at all levels, and have familiarity with tribal government and nonprofit data sources. A valid driver’s license, passport, or the ability to obtain one is necessary. The ability to work independently and in teams, high motivation, self-starting attitude, and effective multitasking under pressure and tight deadlines are key attributes. Representing the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association professionally, maintaining confidentiality, effective communication, and knowledge of basic office practices and procedures, including operating business computers and software in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), are expected qualities.

Position Summary: As the Partner Program Coordinator, you will play a key role to lead and facilitate the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of partnership-based programs with a particular emphasis on outreach, engagement, and collaboration with Native Nations and communities.

Job Description: The Partner Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in the success of programaimed at planning, coordination, and implementation of partnership-based programs. Most projects involve researching current and historic Native Nations and communities associated with the project, requiring you to establish connections with Native leadership, cultural practitioners, elders, artists, youth, and other cultural representatives specific to the identified public land area. Your responsibilities extend to coordinating with public land partners, accurately entering contact information into AIANTA’s tourism database, collaborating with AIANTA’s teams for seamless project planning and implementation, and conducting data reporting and analysis on project outcomes. Additionally, you will ensure compliance and reporting based on project requirements, provide general administrative and program support, and identify training, technical assistance and other resource needs. Success in this role demands excellent communication, administrative, and technical skills, along with the ability to interface professionally with partners. The Partner Program Coordinator may be required to perform other tasks as assigned by the Tribal Relations and Outreach Manager or AIANTA’s leadership.

 Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position possesses a bachelor’s degree coupled with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in project planning, coordination, and management, particularly in hosting business and/or education-related events. Strong capabilities in research, outreach, data management, and compliance are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with Native American Tribal organizations, travel and tourism businesses, and/or not-for-profit organizations. While experience with public land agencies is preferred, it is not mandatory. A comprehensive understanding of the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association’s mission and goals is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Constant Contact, Wild Apricot (or similar membership software), virtual platforms like Zoom, and presentation software such as PowerPoint is required. The successful candidate will exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent technology proficiency, strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. The ability to collaborate with diverse groups, along with maturity, professional judgment, resourcefulness, flexibility, and a proactive approach to challenges and opportunities, is essential. Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality round out the qualifications for this dynamic role.

 Job Description: The primary responsibilities of the Tribal Content Developer involve enriching NativeAmerica.travel by adding compelling content, crafting blogs and articles that spotlight tribal tourism for promotion across AIANTA publications and social media platforms. This role requires close collaboration with tribal contacts to authentically tell their stories and showcase destinations through a combination of written and visual content development. Tasks include researching, writing, editing, and publishing various forms of tribal tourism content, such as tribal profiles, attraction listings, and itineraries. Integral to the position is the creation of digital content, including photography and video, with the responsibility to secure necessary permissions or collaborate with tribes for imagery. Beyond content creation, you will proofread all materials to align with the in-house style guide and brand voice, optimize content for search engine performance, and submit regular progress reports on content creation and gathering efforts. This multifaceted role emphasizes a dynamic approach to showcasing and promoting tribal tourism experiences.  Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Tribal Content Developer position holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, coupled with a demonstrated track record of at least 3 years in writing and photography. Proficiency in strong writing and proofreading skills is essential, with a preference for candidates possessing previous experience in collaboration with Native American Tribal organizations, travel and tourism businesses, or not-for-profit organizations. The candidate should exhibit a deep understanding of the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association’s mission and goals. Additional advantageous qualifications include experience in copywriting, graphic design, programming, and proficiency in AP Styles. Technical expertise in using software like MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Docs, and Google Sheets is a must. The candidate should possess technical skills for using cameras and video equipment, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to optimize content for top search results. The role requires adaptability in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, representing AIANTA professionally, the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, lift materials up to 50 lbs., maintain confidentiality, and be willing to travel by air or automobile.

 Job Description: The Visitor Outreach Specialist collaborates closely with the Visitor Outreach Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting and coordinating AIANTA’s Visitor Outreach programming efforts. This multifaceted position involves assisting in the planning, organization, and execution of outreach activities, with potential domestic and international travel. Responsibilities encompass providing crucial support to the Visitor Outreach Manager, contributing to program development, implementing data collection and evaluation plans, and actively engaging tribes, tribal businesses, and members in AIANTA’s Visitor Outreach training opportunities. The Specialist is instrumental in participant engagement, assisting in the development of tourism training programs, coordinating logistics for trade shows, representing AIANTA at travel trade shows, and managing data collection and reporting. This dynamic role also involves collaboration with various AIANTA program areas, contributing to the organization’s mission achievement and playing a key part in the success of the Visitor Outreach program. The Visitor Outreach Specialist may be required to perform other tasks as assigned by the Visitor Outreach Manager or AIANTA’s leadership.

 Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position holds an associate degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a closely related field, coupled with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the travel industry, encompassing hospitality, tourism management, marketing, or business management. With a minimum of two years of experience and knowledge in the domestic and international travel and trade marketplace, the candidate should demonstrate a strong background in customer service, possess knowledge of tourism trade shows, and exhibit proficiency in Microsoft products. Flexibility in schedule to accommodate training and travel, resourcefulness in program budget management, and effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential. The candidate should have a basic understanding and respect for tribal customs, traditions, values, and beliefs, along with a strong work ethic, initiative, organizational skills, and attention to detail. A valid passport or the ability to obtain one, as well as the capacity to drive and a willingness to travel, are crucial requirements for this role.
